That makes me sad. Less for me, and more for Seattle, because now everyone will say “that’s so typical”, “it always rains”, “their summers are horrible”… which is not true (usually).
I remember the winter I lived in Westport, WA and it was up in the 70’s a ton… in the dead of winter, playing tennis and surfing.

Oh my gosh! Totally appropriate… I am so done with this rain. Its a good thing I am going to Vegas this weekend, or else I think I might be depressed.

But Rose, we like to keep up that illusion… keep people away from Seattle! Our traffic is already bad enough as it is.
The official party line: Seattle, a terrible place to live, always raining and no joy.
